 OUR DREAM: SEASONS OF LIFE

For years, we have carried a dream of creating a place where people can slow down, reconnect, and simply enjoy life together.

That dream is Seasons of Life Retreat.

We envision a peaceful destination surrounded by nature where families grow closer, friendships are formed, memories are made, animals are given second chances, and people from all walks of life feel welcome.

Someday, we hope Seasons of Life will be filled with gardens, trails, outdoor movie nights, bonfires, weekend markets, community gatherings, events, places to stay, and experiences that bring people together.

A place to Heal • Unite • Grow.

But big dreams have to begin somewhere.

OUR FIRST STEP: SEASONS OF LIFE INN

Before we build the full Seasons of Life Retreat, our plan is to begin with something smaller—and much more achievable.

We are searching for an affordable, character-filled building that we can purchase and slowly transform into Seasons of Life Inn.

The Inn will give us an opportunity to begin bringing the Seasons of Life vision to life now rather than waiting until we can purchase the larger retreat property.

We envision cozy guest rooms, beautiful gardens, gathering spaces, a game room filled with consoles for families to enjoy, a small shop, workshops, cooking nights, outdoor activities, seasonal events, bonfires, and other experiences designed to bring people together.

As the Inn grows, so will Seasons of Life.

Our hope is that the income, experience, community, and following created through Seasons of Life Inn will eventually help us take the next giant step—purchasing the land that will become Seasons of Life Retreat.

The Inn isn't replacing our dream, it is an extention of it. 

It's how we're beginning it.

Finding Forever at Seasons of Life

The Johnson family arrived under a sky brushed with soft morning light. Wind chimes swayed gently above the gate that read:
“Seasons of Life — Where Hearts Heal and All Creatures Find Home.”

They hadn’t come for a vacation; they’d come searching for something missing. After months of feeling the quiet in their home where laughter used to echo, they’d heard about a place where people and rescue dogs could find peace—and maybe, each other.

The moment they stepped onto the cobblestone path of Doggy Town, the air felt different. It smelled like sunlight and cedar shavings, and the sounds of gentle music and wagging tails filled the air. Small cottages lined the walkway, each home to a rescue dog waiting for a family.

At the Pup Café, the children sipped strawberry-lavender lemonade while volunteers introduced them to friendly faces—Buddy, the golden retriever; Luna, the shy border collie; and finally, Milo, a small black-and-white terrier with a crooked tail and curious eyes.

Milo didn’t bark or jump. He simply walked over, sat down beside the youngest boy, and rested his paw on the child’s shoe.
The connection was instant—quiet, sure, and pure.

“Why don’t you stay the night?” said Ellie, the caretaker. “We offer Adopt & Stay Cabins so families can spend time with their match before deciding.”

That evening, the Johnsons explored the Seasons of Life Exhibit, a walk-through experience of the stages of life—Birth, Growth, Love, and Wisdom. They ended the day at Matt’s Retro Vault, where they played old arcade games and laughed harder than they had in months.

Later, they watched a movie under the stars, Milo curled at their feet, his eyes flicking from the screen to their faces as if memorizing them.

When morning came, the sun poured golden light through the cabin window. The family found their son sitting outside on the porch, Milo in his lap, both looking out over the gardens.

“I think he’s already ours,” the boy whispered.

Ellie met them at checkout with papers and a wooden tag engraved with Seasons of Life Family.

“Every soul that heals here,” she said, “becomes part of the circle.”

As they drove away, Milo’s ears flapped in the wind, the resort fading behind them in the distance. The Johnsons didn’t just adopt a dog that weekend—they found a missing piece of themselves.

And Seasons of Life stood waiting, ready for the next heart to come home.

Our days are changing

Today is March 23rd 2020

Our days are different now... people are running around crazy, they are scared and frantic. I completely and whole heartedly believe we will look back on these days and we will be talking about them for years. This year might change how we do things forever! I don't want my blog to be about doomsday talk, I want to talk about inspiration! There are two ways to look at things, we could look at situations with a cup half full viewpoint, or we can look at it in a cup half empty viewpoint! I choose to do the first! I know with my faith in my religion that we will prevail! I am also left with my creative, inspiring way of viewing life, which leads me to create amazing stories.

I feel I have been blessed over the last few years with the ability to receive ideas through my dreams. I have a few good books waiting to come forth, but I feel I need to get through my last two classes in college before I can move forward. I have already completed the timeline for Mystical bounty part TWO! I completely believe that it will be done before the end of the year 2020, then I can move on to my next book!

Sneak peek of my next few books: I don't want to tell too much.. but I will give a little insight into the mind of SL.Bradley!

Intelligence vs. Love. - This story is a love story involving an AI

Broken Memories.- This is a story about a child meeting his deceased grandparent in a dream.

Flavors of forever.- This is a story about mysterious ice cream, and once eaten transports you....

Forbidden love.- This is a tragic love story about a couple on the run from their family.

All of these dreams, with my recent story included.. came from dreams that I have had. When I dream, my dreams are almost as if I am sitting in a movie theater watching them play out. Sometimes they are so intense that I am actually the characters in the storyline and I wake up with a great sense of feelings towards the characters. I have had these kinds of dreams since I was a young child. I just recently started to document them in detail so that I can transport myself back to the dream and turn it into a story.

I have had other dreams as well... these dreams are more faith based. Dreams of crashing planes and myself helping people towards salvation. I haven't documented these to turn into books because that isn't the line of books I wanted to write. But I don't know.. I might change my mind.

Moving on to a different point.. I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, I just never knew for what. Till just this year my eyes have opened. I am going to do this, by writing books! Why? Because that is a business! That is a career! Its something ive always loved so why not!? Its not a very lucrative career right away, but its something I absolutely love! While looking into publishing my book via audiobooks, I also learned that being a audio actress/producer is a thing! Which leads me to tell you, there are so many options out there that we don't even know about yet!
Well, now I'm looking into doing that! You can do that from a home studio, which could be something as simple as a closet, or you can do it from an actual studio.

Take away I want to give you with this blog, to whomever may read it one day would be this;

Times are hard... yes they are! But, we are resilient and if we put our creative minds to it, we can accomplish anything! Just stick with your dreams and before you know it, you dream can become a realty! We have to weather the storm but I promise you that we are not alone in this storm and we will make it through!
